A Dunaújvárosi Egyetem egyik fő küldetése, hogy a műszaki, informatikai tudományágak, a hozzájuk kapcsolódó kutatások területén az országban és nemzetközileg is egyaránt vonzó, biztos szakmai tudást adó egyetem legyen. Legalább ennyire fontos pozícióink megőrzése a társadalomtudományok és a tanárképzés területén is.

A nyelvi képzéseink, a kettősdiplomás, valamint az angol nyelvű képzéseink és az Erasmus, a kettős diploma és az Európán kívüli mobilitási programok révén biztosítani tudjuk hallgatóink számára a lehetőséget, hogy a nemzetközi munkahelyi környezetben is helyt tudjanak állni.

A Dunaújvárosi Egyetem Társadalomtudományi Intézetének gondozásában lévő Gazdálkodási és Menedzsment BA szak 2005 óta kerül indításra a Dunaújvárosi Egyetemen (és jogelődjénél, a Dunaújvárosi Főiskolán). Jelenleg nappali és levelező tagozaton magyarul, valamint nappali tagozaton angol nyelven képzünk Gazdász hallgatókat.

A hagyományos oktatási módszerek mellett mind nagyobb szerepet kapnak az új technikák, technológiák, mint például az online tananyagok segítségével, vagy éppen a saját eszközök használatával (BYOD módszer), esettanulmányok, hallgatói közös munkák alapján történő ismeretelsajátítás is.

Mivel a Dunaújvárosi Egyetemen tanuló hallgatók között jelentős számmal vannak olyan hallgatók, akik első generációs diplomások lesznek, így különösen nagy figyelmet kell fordítanunk ezen hallgatóink kompetenciáinak fejlesztésére annak érdekében, hogy mind a karrierjükben, mind a közéleti tevékenységeikben sikeres pályát futhassanak be.

An important part of the mission of the University of Dunaújváros is to become an attractive place of learning for both domestic and international students, conveying reliable professional knowledge in the fields of technical studies and information technology and the respective research areas. However, keeping our position stable in the social sciences and teacher training is considered equally important.

Our language programs, dual diploma and English language courses, also the Erasmus and other mobility programs outside Europe provide our students with the possibility to perform well in the international working environment.

It has been possible to take business administration BA as a major since 2005 at the Institute of Social Sciences of the University of Dunaújváros (as well as at its predecessor, the College of Dunaújváros). Currently our institute offers business administration full-time and part-time studies in Hungarian, and a full-time business administration course in English.

In addition to the traditional teaching methods the new, modern techniques and technologies are becoming more and more prevalent, such as online teaching materials, the BYOD method (bring your own device), case studies, or learning techniques in the frame of students' group work .

As among the students of the University of Dunaújváros there is a great number of those who will be first generation university graduates, a particular attention needs to be payed to their competency development in order to ensure success both in their working carrier and activities in the public sphere.
